About Us

Hello! I’m Caroline, the person behind Enable Me Solutions. I live just outside of Cardiff with my family and I work as an independent OT and case manager in South Wales and the South West of England. My aim is to provide OT and case management services to people who need it. I specialise in housing adaptations, specialist equipment and manual handling. In addition I can also offer functional assessments and rehabilitation plans.

I qualified in 2002 from the University of Wales College of Medicine and went straight into a post within Swansea NHS Trust. Here I worked within stroke rehabilitation, general medicine and rheumatology, oncology and palliative care, and community elderly mental health settings. I later moved back to my home town of Swindon and worked as a locum OT for several months before travelling. Areas of work included A&E, stroke rehabilitation and general medical wards.

I settled just outside of Cardiff in 2006 after securing a permanent post working on a general medical ward. Here I also offered support to the stroke rehabilitation ward and stroke outreach service.

I then moved into a housing OT post within Cardiff Council. This was a new post and I was therefore responsible for developing the service as part of my role. I soon realised that working in the community and seeing people in their own homes was what I wanted to do. Since then I have worked as a senior OT in Social Services to further enhance my knowledge of housing adaptations, specialist equipment provision and manual handling.

Enable Me Solutions is my next chapter. With an aim of providing timely, cost effective private Occupational Therapy and Case Management services with you at the centre.
